Permanent Makeup

Permanent makeup, also known as micropigmentation, has a history dating back thousands of years, with early forms of cosmetic tattooing evident in ancient civilisations such as Egypt and China. Modern permanent makeup began gaining popularity in the 20th century, particularly in the 1980s and 1990s, as advancements in tattooing technology and techniques improved safety and aesthetics.

The procedure involves implanting pigments into the dermal layer of the skin to enhance facial features such as eyebrows, eyeliner, and lips, creating a long-lasting makeup effect. Its popularity has surged due to its convenience, time-saving benefits, and ability to enhance natural beauty with minimal maintenance.

Additionally, permanent makeup offers solutions for individuals with medical conditions like alopecia, vitiligo, or those who have undergone chemotherapy, providing a boost in confidence and quality of life. The desire for a polished, ready-to-go appearance has driven the widespread adoption of this cosmetic procedure.

Lilly Christine Salon specialises in natural permanent makeup as we focus on each client and their individual needs.

Microblading

Microblading is a permanent cosmetic brow procedure that enhances the appearance of eyebrows. It involves using a specialised hand-held tool with fine needles to deposit pigment into the skin's superficial layers. This technique creates hair-like strokes that mimic the natural eyebrow hairs, resulting in fuller, well-defined yet subtle and natural brows. During the procedure, our artists numb the area, carefully map out the desired brow shape, and then meticulously applies the pigment. The results typically last between one to three years, with occasional touch-ups needed to maintain the desired look depending on your skin type and other lifestyle factors.

Micro-shading

Microshading is a permanent makeup technique used to enhance the eyebrows, giving them a fuller and more defined appearance. Unlike microblading alone, which creates hair-like strokes, micro-shading also uses a stippling method to create a soft, powdery effect between the hairstrokes giving the brows slighter more fullness. This technique is particularly suitable for individuals with normal to dry skin, as it tends to last longer and requires less maintenance. The process typically starts with the application of a numbing cream to minimise discomfort, followed by the careful application of pigment to achieve the desired shape and density.

Combination Brows

Combo brow tattooing is a permanent makeup technique that combines microblading only at the fronts of the brows, and shading to create fuller eyebrows. The process begins with microblading, where fine, hair-like strokes are manually etched into the skin using a handheld tool to mimic natural eyebrow hairs at the start of the brow. Following this, shading is applied using a machine or manual technique to add depth and fullness, resulting in a soft, powdered effect. This combination technique allows for a more defined yet natural look, suitable for those with sparse brows or those looking to enhance their brow shape and density.

Powder/Ombre Brows

Powder brow tattooing, also known as ombré or shading, is a permanent makeup technique designed to create a soft, powdered look that mimics the appearance of filled-in eyebrows. The procedure involves using a fine needle with a machine to implant pigment into the upper layers of the skin, creating a gradient effect that is lighter at the front of the brow and darker towards the tail.  Our artists meticulously deposits the pigment, layer by layer, to achieve the desired density and gradient. The results can last between one to three years, depending on skin type, lifestyle and aftercare.

Lip Blush

Lip blush tattooing is a cosmetic procedure that enhances the natural colour and shape of the lips, giving them a fuller and more defined appearance. The technique involves using a fine needle and a machine to deposit pigment into the upper layers of the lips. The process begins with a consultation to select the desired shade and outline the lip shape. The area is then numbed to minimise discomfort. The technician carefully applies the pigment in layers, creating a soft, natural-looking tint that can enhance the lips colour and symmetry.
Results can last from two to three years, depending on skin type and aftercare, with a touch-up session often required to perfect the final look around 6 weeks.

Lip Blush Neutralisation

Lip blush neutralisation tattoo is a cosmetic procedure aimed at correcting and enhancing the natural colour of the lips for those with darker or uneven lip tones. The technique involves using a specialised tattoo machine to deposit custom-blended pigments into the lips, neutralising any hyperpigmentation and creating a more uniform and natural-looking colour. It can take 1-2 sessions or more.

Lash Line Enhancement Eyeliner

Lash line enhancement tattoo, also known as invisible eyeliner or eyelash enhancement, is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure designed to give the appearance of fuller, thicker lashes and subtly define the eyes. The technique involves using a fine tattoo needle to deposit pigment along the lash line, creating a natural-looking enhancement without the look of traditional eyeliner. The process begins with a consultation to determine the desired look, followed by applying a numbing cream to the eyelids for comfort. The technician then carefully implants the pigment directly into the lash line, enhancing the natural beauty of the eyes. Results can last one to three years, depending on skin type and aftercare.

Over 300 5* reviews on Google

"Had my brows and lips done by Lilly. Amaizing service and amazing results. Wanted natural look that wouldn't be notice much but made my make up routine easier and faster in the morning, with fuller brows and lips. 100% delivered. Thank you!!! Highly recommended to my friends and anyone else"

"I'm absolutely obsessed with my lips by Larisa ❤️❤️ Thank you so much! Highly recommend this to everyone, and I can't wait to get my brows and eye liner done in a few weeks"

"I had the most amazing experience with Larissa getting my lips neutralised. Larissa gave me the right advice, made me feel super comfortable and safe, and ensured I got the exact results I wanted. I was very nervous coming into this experience as I had never gotten a tattoo, and other places had always told me my lips would darken. However, upon meeting Larissa, she introduced me to the concept of neutralising lip tattoo (which I had no idea about). Throughout the neutralising process, she gave me warnings when I would feel pain and guided me with ease. I would recommend Larissa to anyone wanting their lips blushed or neutralised. She is truly the best in the business"

"Back again after 18mths! Same high standard and just love her work…
